Privacy Policy - SetLock

Overview

SetLock is a workout rest timer app for Apple Watch and iPhone. It optionally uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to help you stay focused during workouts by temporarily shielding distracting apps you select.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Screen Time & Family Controls

We use Managed Settings / Screen Time APIs only to apply app shields you select during workouts; we do not access or transmit device activity or app usage history.

Specifically:

You choose which apps to shield using Apple's built-in app picker
Shields are applied temporarily when your rest timer ends
Shields are removed when you log your next set or end your workout
We use the "Individual" authorization mode—you control only your own device
SetLock is not a parental control app

Data We Collect

SetLock stores the following data locally on your device:

Workout sessions: Start time, end time, set timestamps, rest duration preset
Settings: Rest timer presets, app blocking preferences
App selection: Which apps you've chosen to shield (stored as opaque tokens, not app names)

If you sign in with Apple or email, your workout data may sync across your own devices via Supabase, our cloud backend. We do not share this data with third parties.

Workout data is retained until you delete your account or uninstall the app.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Screen Time activity logs or reports
App usage history or statistics
Screenshots or screen recordings
Messages, emails, or browsing history
Location data
Contacts or calendar data
Health data (we use HealthKit only to keep the Watch timer active)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share device or app usage data with third parties. Your workout data is yours.

Our cloud backend is provided by Supabase. Data stored in Supabase is encrypted in transit and at rest and is not shared with any other parties.

Data Security

Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security. Data synced to our cloud service is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Children's Privacy

SetLock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by:

Using the "Delete Account" option in the app's Account settings
Deleting the app from your devices
Requesting account deletion by emailing us
